Epsom Salts are Magnesium Sulfate and have been used for quite some time to benefit the body. Magnesium as a mineral is the 'relaxer', and can aid the body in the detox process. Sulfate is often used for strengthening the digestive tract walls and detoxing.
Does an Epsom Salt Bath have to be a FULL bath? NO. If you're not into taking a full bath, you can grab yourself a dish tub or foot soak and simply soak your feet. Our feet have the largest pores in our body, which makes them a great absorption area. Soaking your feet can have very similar effects as taking a full on bath.
Why an epsom salt bath? Here are my favorite reasons:
Soothes the skin.
Softens ingrown toenails.
Draws out splinters.
Promotes better sleep.
Relieves muscle soreness.
Reduced sunburn pain.
Aides with brusies and strains.
Lessens arthritic pain.
I love remedies that are easy to use, and cost effective. Just remember that if you add essential oils to your epsom salt bath, you should add the oils to the salt and THEN the salt to the water so the salt dissolves the oils into the water.
